材料研へようこそ

The Structural Material Laboratory is one of the oldest laboratories in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Saitama University. We are involved in a wide range of research activities, comprising of flexural and shear behavior of externally prestressed concrete structures, seismic behavior of partially prestressed viaducts and piers, steel-concrete composite connections, soil-structure interaction, simulation and properties of fresh concrete, strengthening and retrofitting of existing concrete structures, seismic mitigation for concrete structurtes, earthquake engineering for concrete structures and application of advanced composite materials in infrastructure construction and rehabilitation.
